PAST MEETINGS
The World Congress on Purines was held in Chengdu, China from 5-11 September 2025. The aim of this meeting was to bring together junior and senior scientists all over the world who are working in the area of purinergic signalling to share new ideas and findings in purine research.
The third Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Purine Club was held at UNSW Sydney on 15 May, 2023. A meeting report was published in Purinergic Signalling.
The first webinar by the French Purine Club was held on 7 June, 2023.
A 2-day meeting was hosted by the French Purine Club on 7-8 November, 2023.

The 3rd International Meeting of Purinergic Signaling in Brazil took place on 13-16 September , 2022 in the coastal town of Búzios in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
A half-day UK Purines Club meeting was held online on 10 September 2021. This meeting directly followed that of the British Pharmacological Society’s annual Pharmacology meeting.
The British Pharmacological Society’s annual Pharmacology meeting, 7-9 September 2021. The meeting was held online and included a session entitled ‘Pioneers in Pharmacology & Drug Discovery – Professor Geoff Burnstock’ covering the latest advances in purinergic research.
The Second Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Purine Club was held virtually over two half days (July 16 and 23, 2021). Guest speakers were Professor Schuichi Koizumi (University of Yamanashi & President Japan Purine Club), Professor Yong Tang (Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine & President China Purine Club), A/Professor Srdjan Vlajkovic (University of Auckland) and Dr Rocio Finol-Urdaneta (University of Wollongong). A Special Issue ‘Purinergic Signalling -Perspectives from Australia and New Zealand‘ was published from this meeting.
The first European Purine Meeting took place in Santiago de Compostela, Madrid, Spain on 4-6 September , 2019.
